Professional, creative and a pleasure to work with – that’s Abbie!

A great photo shoot should never be stressful:
It is work, but should never feel like it.

Abbie Brand’s passion for holding a camera remains strong, for over a decade now. She
first started out in video production, but with the exciting arrival of digital SLRs, slowly
but surely converted to digital photography and hasn’t wiped the smile off her face yet.

After studying both traditional photography and digital imagery at Concordia University,
she continued on to complete the Commercial Photography program at Dawson
  College.

Her experience includes several years as head photographer in a busy family portrait
studio capturing everything from the first few weeks of an infant's life, to the impossible
yet magic moment where bumbling toddlers all look through the lens at the same
time, to the rare occasion of a dozen family members reuniting in one room. She later
refined both her shooting and retouching skills working in a wedding studio in Old
Montreal. Free time was spent shooting anything from weddings to corporate events
and press kits, and experimenting with themed shoots for her own company, Excentria.

Abbie's work has been published in the McGill Daily, Montreal municipal newsletters,
La Voix de l’Est, scientific magazines, as well as local historical books.

Since then, Abbie has branched out into local fashion and product photography, and
is always thrilled to take on any interesting project that comes her way.
